A company in run-off sought to reduce its administrative expenses and generate income. Bazil McNulty worked closely with the client to consummate an outright purchase of reinsurance recoverables. The recoverables included claims against insolvent estates and write-offs.

Obtaining a judgment is often the easiest part of a recovery action. Enforcing the judgment often proves more difficult. Bazil McNulty’s asset database includes information from public and private resources that enables and facilitates prompt identification of assets that may be attached for satisfaction of a judgment. On occasion, Bazil McNulty has utilized private investigative firms to identify assets and help in jurisdictions such as the Cayman Islands. Working with a global network of law firms, Bazil McNulty has overseen collection efforts worldwide. In one case, filing a Mareva Injunction was sufficient to bring the debtor to the bargaining table and obtain resolution.
